Our Philosophy

It is well known that the share price fluctuates more than the underlying value of the stock. These fluctuations are the result of the basic emotions of fear and greed acting on market participants. But is there a way to predict these emotions?
Markets are no more than collections of individual participants, and just as the planets have an influence on human behaviour, so too they can be expected to have an influence on group behaviour.

Financial astrology is one of the three pillars of a successful trader's armoury, the other two being fundamental and technical analysis. We only present the astrology here; it is for readers to add their own favoured analytical tools to come to a rounded decision on where to enter and exit trades.

The WOO Factor

We have found that many stocks have regular periods, Windows of Opportunity, when something interesting happens to the price action - it might be a turning point, an inflection point, or a steep advance/decline.

We mark these times on the chart by vertical red lines.

For example, here is an astrological event, a Window of Opportunity, in the price action of Elanco Animal Health (ELAN).

Note the astrology pinpoints the turning point exactly, and marks a drop of over 20% in a few days.

(This is a particularly good example - most signals are not so clean or so dramatic!)
Using Both Axes of the Chart

For astrologers, each moment of time has a unique quality. Whereas traders are mainly focussed on the vertical price axis, astrology shifts the focus to the horizontal time axis.

However, the planets can also be represented on the vertical axis, by converting planetary positions into price values. This was one of the techniques used by the legendary W.D. Gann, and developed by Jeanne Long in her book Universal Clock.

We use blue lines as our profit targets, and green lines as our starting points - these lines are calculated only using planetary positions. If there is a celestial influence on the market, then the price should move from the green to the blue line. (The green line should not be considered an entry point. We prefer to wait for price to move, confirming the trade, before entry, which means we sacrifice some of the move to give us greater confidence in the trade.)

We don't place stop losses on our charts. We strongly encourage traders to use stop losses at all times, and to place them a sensible distance away. We do not like to telegraph our stops in case market makers might be tempted to hunt for them. On the other hand, we are more than happy for large institutions to hunt for our profit targets!

For example, here is the recent price history of Ulta Beauty (ULTA).

The astrology picked out a turning point (red vertical line), and also highlighted the starting point (green line) and finishing point (blue line) of the move.

Note how the price accelerated to touch the profit target line after the earnings report. We often find an earnings release is the catalyst to take the price to where it should go, where the astrology dictates it must go.
About
Astral Projections Limited was set up to promote the science of astrology by seeking correlations between planetary positions and financial markets.

After many years as an amateur student of astrology, combined with a fascination by the markets, I finally came upon a method of identifying potential turning points in equity markets.
